Description
The Syrian Negotiation Commission – Geneva Office (SNCGO) is representing and supporting the SNC and its mandate by expanding and facilitating outreach to Syrians and international actors. The SNC works towards a negotiated end to the conflict benefitting the Syrian people through dialogue, peaceful means and democracy in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
The SNCGO seeks to hire an Executive Assistant to support the SNC President with day-to-day work especially during meetings and business trips.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the SNC President’s calendar: schedule meetings and teleconferences, screen for conflicts and ensure the President is prepared for important meetings.
Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and occasionally travelling with the President to take notes at meetings or to provide general assistance.
Prioritize emails and respond, when necessary.
Support the President in representation of the SNC through drafting documents, researching,
and routing correspondence and screening and rerouting phone calls.
Facilitates communication between the President, SNCGO, Board, Technical Committees, and other stakeholders.
Maintains the President’s correspondence and other communication inside and outside SNC
And other duties as assigned by the President.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as an assistant or a similar position.
High level of organizational, time management and communication skills.
Detail oriented, accurate and able to act autonomously with minimal supervision.
Command of Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Flexibility and ability to travel.
Contract Duration
1 August 2024 to 31 December 2024
Duty Station
Mainly Istanbul with the possibility to travel inside and outside of Türkiye.
