SNC President, Dr. Bader Jamous, took part on Saturday in the 3rd general conference of Future Syria Gathering which was held in the cultural center of the city of Jindires. He gave a speech in which he asserted SNC’s commitment to international resolutions and joint Syrian action with all parties and on all fronts.

The SNC President said in the opening session that the SNC was committed to international resolutions particularly Geneva Communique and UNSCR 2118 and 2254. He said the SNC was working by all means to further a negotiated political solution and the change of the Syrian political regime using internationally-agreed negotiated, political and democratic mechanisms. He expressed disappointment at the international community’s inaction and lack of genuine and serious international will to implement UNSCR 2254 which delays and hinders a political solution.

Dr. Jamous stressed that it was important for all Syrians to work hand in hand on all fronts including the negotiations, political, civil and military aspects in order to further the political solution and realize political transition which Syrians aspire for and for which thousands have sacrificed their lives.

He explained that everybody is required to work on the ground to fulfill the goals of the revolution for which Syrians have sacrificed. He said he was convinced that it is essential to work with Syrians inside and outside Syria to fulfill the revolution’s goals indicating that the SNC is standing in the same position as all components of the afflicted Syrian people seeking a good future for the coming generations in all areas by enabling them to access their full rights. Syria, he said, needed everybody’s efforts and endeavors.

The conference featured the participation of several SNC members, leaders of Syrian National Coalition and members of the Syrian Interim Government in addition to a large number of politicians, activists and representatives of the civil society.
