In the framework of SNC’s efforts to share the developments of the political process and international developments on the Syrian issue with the Syrian people, SNC President, Dr. Bader Jamous, in the presence of SNC member, Mr. Tarek al-Kurdi, held various meetings with many active Syrians at the social and economic levels in the city of Mersin, in a meeting organized by the Stability Support Unit.

Keen to engage in open dialogue with all Syrians in Türkiye and elsewhere, SNC President, Dr. Badr Jamous, briefed them about what is happening at the political level and the latest international meetings with special envoys, and spoke in detail about the challenges and obstacles facing the SNC in making progress in the political process and ending the disaster caused by the Syrian regime.

Dr. Jamous stressed the need to expand the participation of all Syrians in bringing the Syrian issue back to the political forefront, and for the Syrian people to join forces wherever they are to serve their cause, pointing out that keeping UNSCR 2254 within the circle of international and regional attention is the major challenge for SNC in light of the decline of Western attention to the Syrian issue.

He stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of Syrians and strengthening their role in seeking to find a political solution that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people inside Syria and in the diaspora and honors the great sacrifices made by the Syrians in order to reach a state of freedom and justice.
