SNC President, Dr. Bader Jamous, along with other SNC members met with the head of the Local Council in al-Bab city, Mr. Haitham al-Shehabi, and members of the council on Sunday. Dr. Jamous explained the latest developments in the political process and the efforts the SNC embarks on to reposition the Syrian issue on the international radar.
During the meeting in which SNC members, Anas al-Abdah and Yaser Dalwan, participated, the results of meetings between SNC leadership and European officials as well as the positions of those states in support of the political solution were discussed.
Dr. Jamous reiterated that the implementation of international resolutions was the only way to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people stressing the role of local communities and community organizations in promoting the role of SNC through joint action and constant consultations.
Discussions between the SNC delegation and the local council members tackled the political solution and the available possibilities and resources. It was further agreed to maintain constant communication as the SNC is keen on keeping Syrian revolutionary actors and civil society organizations abreast of the developments of the political process.
